Step One: Open your Instagram app

Step Three: Hold on to the Share icon
Previously you had to tap on the share icon choose the person you wanted to share the post with. Then tap on the share option to send the post in the DM. But Instagram has added another feature here. Once you open the post you wish to share, you need to tap and hold on to the “Share” option.
Step Four: Quick share the post with your friends
When you tap on the share icon you will be able to see the profile pictures of the followers or friends that you have interacted with the most. Tap on the profile icon of the friend you want to send the post, video or reel to. The post will directly land up in their DMs!

The new share feature is only available for iOS and Android app users. If you want to share the posts on the desktop then you need to follow these steps:
If you are using Instagram on your desktop you need to sign in to your account.
Open the post that you want to share with your followers and click on the share icon.
From the list, if of the followers, choose the one you want to send the post to and click on “Share”
