Instagram is taking its commitment to assisting users in creating Reels very seriously.
By offering pre-built Reels templates that anyone can use to create a Reel quickly, they can finally do this very effectively.
Even if they have no concept of how Reels function, this is a fantastic method to encourage others and assist them in making their own.
The use of Reels Templates is quite simple. To construct the Reel, simply click Use template and your own magic.
We think that the Reels video format will continue to receive popularity as a result of Templates.
Dual: Users can now record their event’s perspective in addition to the new Reels templates. This implies that you can simultaneously record a video using the phone’s front and rear cameras.

Instagram To Use Facial Recognition To Verify Age
Instagram has started testing its new process of age verification in the US. Any user who attempts to change their age on the app will have to verify their age using one of the three options available after this new Instagram update:
- Upload an ID: Users will have to upload an identification document while changing their age on the app. It can be your drivers license or any other identity card.
- Video Selfie: To prove your age, you can decide to upload a video selfie. If you select this option, your screen will display instructions to help you. Your video selfie is the only thing Instagram shares with Yoti. Yoti’s technology calculates your age and shares it with IG based on your facial traits. Meta and Yoti then remove the image.
- Social Vouching: You can use this choice to request age verification from followers who follow you. The person providing the vouch must be at least 18 years old, cannot be providing a vouch for another person at that time, and must also adhere to other requirements. You’ll be asked to prove your age, and the three persons you choose to vouch for will have three days to do so.
- Instagram’s Pronoun Feature: The social media giant has added a pronoun feature for users to choose how they want to be recognized. You get up to four pronoun options to choose one which will reflect next to your IG username. Go to edit profile and select your pronoun.
- Instagram Add External Links Update: Instagram has finally rolled out a feature users have been demanding for years. It lets you add multiple external links to your Instagram bio. You can use this feature to direct your IG followers to other social media platforms.
- Updated Instagram Insight: The platform has updated its insight tool to give creators and businesses better insight into their account’s performance. The major change is that you can now access your performance data from up to 90 days instead of 30 to 60 days.
New Nudge Feature For Teens On Instagram
Instagram is now launching a nudge feature in a couple of countries to help steer teens away from harmful content on the platform.
How does the Nudge work on Instagram?
If a user spends a lot of time on the explore page viewing content on a specific topic then Instagram will send a nudge notification to the user with a list of other suggested topics for the user to look at leaving out appearance comparison topics.
The new feature is meant to make the time teens spend on the app more mindful and constructive.
Users spend hours scrolling through the app without realizing the effect it has on their mental health. Nudges will help users be more reflective of their time and allow them to explore new topics. The suggested list will leave out certain appearance comparison content.

A report button is available on the screen to fast track the process. The user doesn’t have to leave the app to notify the authorities.
“If you get one, it implies there is an active search for a missing child nearby,” the site said while unveiling the Amber Alerts connection. We use a variety of indications to determine who to serve these warnings to, including the city you indicate on your profile, your IP address, and location services.”
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States, the International Centre for Missing & Exploited Children, the National Crime Agency in the United Kingdom, the Attorney General’s Office in Mexico, the Australian Federal Police, and others collaborated on this IG feature.

Share NFTs On Instagram
Instagram has launched a new update that will allow a select few creators to share NFTs via posts, stories, and messages. There are various Instagram monetization methods now, but the NFT community and collectors or developers of these unique digital tokens are a very interesting niche that Instagram is now choosing to explore.
Instagram is a centralized platform with the goal of learning from the community and better understanding the upcoming decentralized web 3.0.
Immersive Viewing Experience Update
“Taller photos and taller videos” that’s the latest Instagram update in a nutshell. Instagram is planning to make its home feed more immersive by making the photos and videos taller, so they take up the entire screen. Sounds familiar? Yeah, that’s what your Tiktok feed looks like. Instagram and its parent company have time and again stated their plan to make the platform video-first. So an app-altering update that is centered on making the video viewing experience better and more immersive doesn’t come as a surprise.
Instagram is no longer just a photo-sharing platform; it’s speeding towards a more video-centric application. This new IG update will also push more suggestions and recommendations in your immersive home feed, trying to show you content that the Instagram algorithm thinks you would love but might not have heard of yet. Simultaneously you will have more control over your IG feed. These suggestions are nothing but another way for Instagram to learn more about your content consumption process, your preferences, and much more. It’s similar to how your explore page works, but now it’s part of your home feed.
The bottom line is your Instagram feed is going to change. Not just content-wise, but the whole viewing experience will soon resemble the reels page.

Instagram Updates Editing Tools For Reels
Instagram improved the editing tools for one of its most popular products – Instagram reels. This new Instagram reels update should make trimming and rearranging video clips in Reels much easier. It was one of the most requested features. Earlier editing the clips in your reels was not possible. You had to trim the original video and add it again to the reel. Now it’s a piece of cake with the new reel editing update.
Deleting, trimming, and adding clips to your reels can be done in a few quick steps.
How To Use The New Editing Tool In Reels?
- Open Reels camera in your Instagram app.
- Make a new video or upload one from your collection.
- To edit clips, go to ‘preview video clips’ in the lower-left corner and tap edit clips.
- You can enter reorder mode by tapping the reorder button and then dragging and dropping your clips to delete or reorder them.
- You can add more clips if you want by hitting the ‘more clips button.’
- Post your Reel after you’ve finished editing!
New Hashtag Experience
The new Instagram hashtag experience aims to make it easier for people to learn what’s going on in the world and to take action. On certain (social cause-related)hashtag pages, users may notice a new support button. With the help of this new support button, users can either start a fundraiser for the cause or spread awareness by directly sharing the page via DMs.
New Messaging Features
Instagram launched a slew of new messaging features to improve the messaging experience on the platform. New Instagram Updates Launched in March 2022
Enhanced tag feature for giving credit to creators
The enhanced tags feature allows creators to display the self-designated profile category from their professional accounts in their People Tag. People can now see a single creator’s contribution to a photo or video post. Simply said, if you’re a makeup artist, musician, or other major contributor to a post, your contributions will be visible to the viewers thanks to the new enhanced tags feature.
This new Instagram feature update intends to improve creators’ crediting process. Tagging was a great feature, but the enhanced tag feature is definitely a much-needed upgrade. If someone has contributed to a post or project, they too will get the exposure and credit they deserve. Along with the name of the person, their category or contribution will also be visible on the post if the owner of the post has used the enhanced tags.

First Instagram Update of 2022
Scheduling Live in Instagram profile
For a long time, Instagram users have had the option of going live. Users may now isolate their Live from their posts or Stories and schedule it on their profile with this new IG feature.
Instagram users can now schedule live and have a badge on their profile informing visitors about the scheduled live. In addition, their followers will be able to opt in to set an alert for the live.
Subscriptions
Subscriptions are the best way to be sure that the revenue for the creators will be solely dependent on their content and not on the reach or other parameters.
This new Instagram feature update is currently rolled out to selected users and hopefully will expand to more creators soon.
Subscriptions basically will allow three different types of content that people can subscribe to:
- Subscriber Lives – creators go live only to their subscribers
- Subscriber Stories – will be marked with a purple ring, so subscribers will know that they are published solely for them
- Subscriber Badges – subscribers will get a purple badge so that the creators will differentiate them in DMs and comments.
In short, fans will pay a monthly membership to have access to special material from their favorite creators, such as one-of-a-kind live videos or Instagram stories that are only available to subscribers.
The creators should be able to export the subscriber list to other platforms because they own it. They’re focusing on letting creators bring their subscriptions to other platforms or apps so they’re not reliant on Instagram.
Chronological order of the feed
With this Instagram update, users will be able to customize their feed. Instagram CEO Adam Mosseri kicked out the year with a huge surprise, revealing that the company is exploring a chronological feed order. He added three new options – Home, Favorites, and Following – so that every Instagram user can pick how they want their posts to appear on their home page. Users can tap on the Instagram logo at the top of their home feed to shuffle between different feeds.
We’ll keep this post up to date when new Instagram updates become available. So feel free to visit us again to stay updated on the latest Instagram features and other social media trends.
