So What Does It Mean To Block Someone On Facebook?

When you block an account on Facebook, you cut off all ways that person can interact with you on the platform. So the blocked Facebook user cannot interact with you on Facebook. Of course, the person doesn’t get notified when you block them, but there are other ways they can find out. But that’s none of your concern.

People you’ve blocked on Facebook won’t be able to:

• Take a look at your posts.
• Invite you to Facebook groups and events.
• Look up your name on Facebook.
•  Tag you in posts.
• Send you a friend request.

How To Block A Friend On Facebook Using iPhone?

There are two ways you can block a friend on Facebook. The first is through the Privacy & settings, and the other is by going to that user’s FB Profile. We’ll walk you through both of them. Note that either way can be carried out from any device you choose. For this article, we are showing each way on two different devices. However, the steps remain the same on any device you choose.

Steps to block a Facebook user on iPhone: 

• Open the Facebook app 
• Tap on the hamburger icon at the bottom-right corner
• Go to settings & Privacy
• Tap on Settings 

• Go to Blocking
• Select the button “Add to blocked list.”
• Type the name of the person you want to block.

• Once you find the person, you want to block. Tap on the Block button next to the username of that person.
• Click on Block when a pop-up again asks if you want to block a person XYZ?

How To Block A Person From PC?

• Go to facebook.com and log in.
• In the search bar, type in the name of the person your want to block
• Open their profile on Facebook

• Click on the three dots on their FB profile
• Click on Block.

• Confirm your decision to block that person by selecting “confirm” from the pop-up dialogue box.
